Community Activities
As part of K of C Council 6066's commitment to the betterment of our local community, we perform a number of activities. These activities are open to everyone in the local community, regardless of their faith or beliefs. They are designed to foster a spirit of harmony and help promote the message of Jesus Christ and create constructive awareness for the Catholic Church.
Soccer Challenge
One of the activities run by Council 6066 is the annual Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge. It's free and open to all boys and girls aged between 10 and 14 who live in Fair Oaks and the surrounding area, regardless of religious affiliation.
The Soccer Challenge tests kids' shooting accuracy from the penalty spot. Points are awarded depending on the area of the goal in which the shot is delivered. Top corners earn 20 points, bottom corners earn 10, and a shot placed elsewhere in the goal is worth 5. The boy or girl of each age with the highest score wins, and can go on to compete at the District level where applicable. Look for this contest to occur in September. For more information or to book your child's place in advance contact the Council's Community or Youth Directors.
